Bagheera is the new clothing sponsor for the Swedish orienteering team

The Swedish Orienteering Association has finalized a new clothing sponsor. Starting with the home World Championships in Strömstad and Tanum, which begin on August 20,
The Swedish runners are running in a newly developed Bagheera collection, designed by national team runner Anton Östlin.

Bagheera, which was founded in Avesta in 1981, still has its headquarters, with administration, design and product development, and warehouse located in Avesta in southern Dalarna.

– Our business concept is to manufacture functional clothing and shoes, developed to enable the user to perform at their best at every sporting event,
says Bo-Göran Karlsson, noting that Bagheera’s development on the product side has been, and is, fantastic to say the least.

– We are convinced that the national orienteering team will be satisfied with the collection we have now developed and I would also like to take this opportunity to wish all runners good luck at the World Championships, says Karlsson.

The Swedish Orienteering Association has been actively seeking a new clothing sponsor during the spring, as the previous agreement with ISC expires.
Now, union manager Susanne Söderholm feels that SOFT has found an excellent partner.

– Bagheera is the company that has best responded to our requests. Bagheera’s goal of making products that are environmentally friendly aligns well with the orienteering federation’s
prioritizing environmental and sustainability issues, says Söderholm, who continues:

– Bagheera’s certification with OEKO-TEX and the use of recycled materials is something we view very positively.

The next step for the Swedish Orienteering Association and Bagheera will be to develop collections for the national ski orienteering and mountain bike orienteering teams as well.

Bagheera AB was founded in 1981 in Avesta. Our business concept of manufacturing functional clothing and shoes has given us retailers all over Sweden and parts of Europe. We currently have over 30 employees in Sweden and China and have a pleasant working environment in Koppardalen’s renovated buildings in Avesta.
