ABOUT CÉBÉ

Cébé was founded in 1892 in Morez in Jura, France by Jean-Louis Crestin-Billet. Initially, Cébé specialized in optical frames and sunglasses. The brand was a pioneer in creating sports eyewear. From the very beginning, the glasses were used on climbing expeditions and in connection with this, products were created specifically to withstand the harsh conditions found on the mountain.
In the late 1940s, skiing became increasingly popular and Cébé entered the winter sports segment with goggles, helmets and sunglasses. Between the 1970s and 1980s, Cébé became world-famous through its sponsorship of Ingemar Stenmark, a five-time world champion.
Today, Cébé works with both technical development and design together with all sportsmen and women looking for adrenaline-filled activities. For all those who like genuine competence and know-how inherited over the years and genuine nature experiences!

Cébé Scandinavia’s head office is located in Avesta, in the southern valleys, in one of the old slag-brick premises where the steel mill in Avesta conducted parts of its operations during the 1960s.
