Bagheera becomes main sponsor of the Swedish Orienteering Federation

The Swedish Orienteering Association and Bagheera have agreed to extend and develop their cooperation agreement. “We are very pleased with Bagheera, who will now step up and become the main sponsor,” says federation director Susanne Söderholm.

The Swedish Orienteering Association has had Bagheera as a partner since 2016 and now it is clear that the collaboration will be deepened and extended by three years. Bagheera continues to be the exclusive clothing supplier to the national orienteering team and the national ski orienteering team.

– The new agreement involves deeper cooperation in a number of different areas and the value has also increased significantly. Bagheera’s goal of making products that are environmentally friendly aligns well with the Swedish Orienteering Federation’s prioritization of environmental and sustainability issues, and we are really looking forward to three more years with Bagheera, says Federation Director Susanne Söderholm.

Bagheera, which was founded in Avesta in 1981 by brothers Bo-Göran and Carl-Gustaf Karlsson, still has its headquarters with administration, design and product development, and warehouse located in Avesta in southern Dalarna. The company’s business concept of manufacturing functional clothing and shoes has resulted in retailers all over Sweden and parts of Europe.

-We are very proud and happy about the extended and deepened contract with the Swedish Orienteering Association. To continue to be the clothing supplier to a national team that is absolutely raining medals is a favor and it has really put us on the map as a supplier. Orienteering is a focus sport for Bagheera and a sport that places great demands on the equipment. The exchange of experience with those active in the national team contributes greatly to Bagheeras’s effort to develop sustainable products with maximum comfort; something that also influences product development for the average exerciser, says Bo-Göran Karlsson.
